Local Colleges: Parkside athletes earn academic honors
Thirteen UW-Parkside student athletes are the recipients of the Academic Excellence Award Presidents Grand Council Lakes Valley Conference.
Lauren Bialas (women’s football), Remi Bibal (men’s football), Joel Davis (male), Jake Dubnica (male), Lauren Hickson (volleyball), Brittney Fair, Ben Kosmider Trent Muscat Gabe (Rebecca Roembke (volleyball)), Lindsay Rogers (women’s track), Cody Rolshoven (baseball) and Kyle Schulz (baseball) were each honored by the glvC.
The Academic Excellence Award recipients of the Council of Presidents glvC illustrate the exceptional student-athletes glvC. Each honoree has exhausted his eligibility in the inter-school sport in which they participated and maintained at least an average of 3.5 points in his academic career.
In addition, to be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have participated in the glvC for at least two years and have completed 96 credit hours. A student-athlete can only earn distinguished honor only once in his or her career.
A total of 352 student-athletes were honored by the glvC, including 11 who have completed their races with an average of 4.0 perfect points.
